The Scottish Social Services Learning Network North supports the learning and development of the social services workforce in the North of Scotland.

We are funded by the Scottish Government to enable partnerships, to bring together stakeholders to share knowledge and experience, and to facilitate sharing of resources across the social services sector. Along with the three other Learning Networks, we act as a catalyst for change, in order to meet the ongoing learning and development needs of the sector.

Our stakeholders include national and local government, NHS Health, education and training providers, the voluntary and private sectors.

In order to address the challenges posed by the geography of the North of Scotland, in 2007 the Learning Network North developed an online portal, in collaboration with The Robert Gordon University. The Learning Network North Portal is available to anyone in the social services sector workforce to facilitate or access learning opportunities, online communication and collaborative working.

Our website provides information, resources and links relating to our strategic priorities for supporting the learning and development of the workforce in the North of Scotland. Our homepage is updated constantly with the latest news, events and consultations / tenders. Go to our Events page for events facilitated by the Learning Network North and our partners.
