Breaking-down Stereotypes and Engaging Fathers in Services for Children and Families

Tuesday 9 March 2010, 09:30 – 15:30
Location: Aberdeen

Summerhill Centre, Stronsay Drive, Aberdeen, (map)

Fathers and male carers, whatever their situation, are important to the development, well-being and life chances of children.

In 2009, Children in Scotland carried out a survey of the Gender Equality Duty activities and priorities of local authorities and NHS boards across Scotland. This one-day practice sharing event is one of a series that will examine the key findings of this survey and explore practical solutions to the challenges of achieving gender equality in services for children and families. The event will look at approaches used across a wide range of services, including early years, education, health and parent support.

For further information about the key areas that will be covered and / or to book a place visit the Children in Scotland website.
